who’s the oldest daddy?

Today’s Guardian reports that ‘a 90 year old Indian farmer has had his 21st child, making him the oldest living father in the world’. I’m pretty sure that many of the 95 year old men living up and down the country are also fathers. I’m therefore betting my pocket money that a correction will appear in tomorrow’s whoopsy column: ‘in fact we should have said that Namu Ram Jogi holds the record for fathering a child (born during his lifetime) at the greatest age’.

Of course, there’s something to be said for the erroneous wording in the original article, which rolls of the tongue a little better. And we all know what they mean, the wicked old so and so…
