Christmas isn’t abowt presunts its abowt famli

So saith my 6 year old, making me well up with pride (Although god only knows who taught him such sentimental misspellings).

He bore the mountain of presunts manfully though, and humoured those of us who thought it was a little bit about presunts too.

Of course he later reverted to the child of his parents when reminding me (as I declined to fetch a presunt from another room for him) that “Mummy, I’m not your servant you know!”

Oh how our own words haunt us…
