I’m blushing.
I’ve been shortlisted for an innovative lawyer award. There wasn’t a “most endearingly ranty” category, so…
There are three other lovely people shortlisted alongside me. I don’t know what their nominations cite as their innovations, but here is what google knows them for:
Jonathan West (ProLegal) (ProLegal headed by Jonathan recently co-launced an innovative divorce insurance cover product)
Kim Beatson (Anthony Gold Sols) (Kim is a collaborative lawyer and mediator).
Roger Bamber (Mills & Reeve) (Roger is another mediator and collaborative lawyer, and behind the divorce.co.uk website).
*gulp*. I won’t be writing my acceptance speech just yet. But a free canape and a bit of hobnobbing with Clive Coleman? Oh… Go on then…
You can read the full shortlist here.
Congrats on nomination! As they say at the Oscars “It’s an honour to be nominated” and, as you say, the chance to drink warm white wine & eat stuff-on-a-stick. What’s not to like!
My firm (www.wdavies.com) won a local quiz night a few years ago, but we won by such a large margin we were asked not to go back. Don’t think we’ve won/been nominated for anything as good as your nomination, so enjoy!
Lucy,
I think you deserve it for the LIP book which will be in ever increasing demand in light of the government’s hamfisted approach to LA cuts.
Is that the reason for your nomination?
Good luck.
I think it’s party the book, partly the blog. Thanks.
Good luck at the awards.
