Dismaland

I blinked and missed it. The summer is over. It’s back to work and school and frankly, Mr Shankly, I need a trip to Dismaland to cheer me up. The judge had a sour face this morning too. Perhaps he has been unable to get tickets. I am determined to go, but now I am back at work the window is rapidly closing…

Although the time off was a good time to be doing lots of Transparency Project related stuff, I am also feeling despondent about less than brilliant reporting of family cases (see my post here), about the mounting pile of fallen apples in my garden and the torture of getting up in the morning after two weeks of basically pretending to be Waynetta Slob for a fortnight.

Oh, and I’ve got the usual “no work in August, broke in September” blues.

Meh.

More importantly, the whole refugee thing has been gnawing away at me too. Pleased to see Sean Jones’ brilliant “billable hour” campaign has gone off like a rocket (£69k plus giftaid at time of writing!!). It may be a bit grey here near Weston Super Mud but life is perhaps not as dismal for us as it is for other families and on other beaches.

As we recite every morning on our way out to school :

Q What are the rules?

A Have fun. Work hard. Be kind.

Hug your loved ones folks.
